Hello World, the original post, to be followed by hundreds of posts about the birth and life of Saintpid Mastering. I’ve been working with mastering on the side for the past 10 years but I never got around setup my studio to meet the terms of a true mastering environment. Even though my clients been satisfied with my services there’s no doubt that I could have produced a better result in half the time if I had a pair of high resolution monitors in a correct measured and treated room. In the end the itch to have that perfect room got to me and I went to the bank and redraw all my savings and after hours of listening to different speakers, DA converters, monitor controllers and all kinds of gizmos and cables I found myself completely broke but very, very, happy. Now there’s just the small thing of putting all the equipment in place; measure and adjust and I will be up and running.
Oh, not quite, I’m still $3000 short but I thought I’d try crowd funding to solve those last minute purchases (mostly software licenses).
