Our Process

Step 1 – Contact Us

If you’ve explored our pricing calculator, read through this page, listened to artists Saintpid has worked with — or perhaps been recommended by someone — and feel that we might be a good fit for your music, it’s time to get in touch so we can talk about your project. How you choose to contact me is entirely up to you. Use whichever channel feels right.

You’ll find all contact details here:

Get In Touch

In an initial conversation, we’ll typically talk about things like:

  • Deadlines — do you have one, and when would you like the project to be finished?
  • Any wishes or questions you’d like to discuss before we get started
  • Which payment option works best for you (see point 2)
  • Required formats and distribution — for example streaming, CD, vinyl, cassette, etc.
  • Your expectations for the master — do you want a bold, creative approach, or are you happy with the mix and mainly want it to translate well across all platforms?
  • Whether all necessary information is in place, such as track order (required for all formats), exact album, track, and artist names, and UPC and ISRC codes if you’re releasing on CD.

Step 2 – Pricing & Payment

Payment terms depend on the type of client and our prior relationship.

As a general rule, new clients are asked to pay in advance for their first project. Once we’ve worked together for a while, payment is usually handled after delivery instead.

For small businesses and private individuals, payment is typically handled via Klarna. If advance payment applies, you’ll receive a payment link after we’ve gone through your project. I’ll start working as soon as I receive confirmation that the payment is on its way.

Larger companies and organizations are invoiced after the work has been completed. To use this option, you’ll need to represent such a company or organization and provide the relevant details.

When paying via Klarna, you can choose how you’d like to pay — for example by card, Swish, invoice, or installments.

Good to know!

Returning clients paying via Klarna receive a loyalty discount. Discounts do not apply to projects paid by traditional invoice.

Step 3 – Upload Your Files

At this point, it’s time for me to receive your mixes. Please use our upload service here on saintpid.se to submit your files. Below, you’ll find a link to the upload page, along with a checklist covering things that are good to keep in mind before sending mixes for mastering.

Step 4 – Mastering

Once I’ve received your mixes, I’ll begin working on your tracks. Depending on the agreed payment terms, you may receive a payment link via Klarna either before work begins or once the project is completed. When the first version is ready, you’ll receive an email with instructions on how to access your download page. There you’ll find links to your files along with information about your master — for example whether the files are prepared for streaming, vinyl, or CD production, or if a file has a specific resolution intended for video production.

If you’re happy with the master, we’re all set. If payment hasn’t already been completed, you’ll receive a payment link or invoice at this stage, depending on the agreed payment method.

If you’d like any adjustments, simply get in touch and describe what you’d like changed. There’s no strict limit on the number of revisions, as long as the requested changes are reasonable and within the scope of the original project. If revisions involve substantial changes or new material that require starting over or significantly extending the work, additional charges may apply. Most clients are happy with the first or second revision; occasionally, a third version may be needed.

Step 5 – Done!

At this point, we’re done. Hopefully we’ve both enjoyed working together, and I look forward to hearing from you again when your next project is ready for mastering.
